With the exception of expedition cruise companies, most tour operators use local operators to conduct their tours in the many countries they operate in.

The guides may be wearing the American tour operators tee shirts, and there may be a magnetic sign on the door with the American operators logo, but they work for the local operator that are contracted for the adventure. We work with our operators by conducting guide training and continuing education programs to insure our standards are met and exceeded by our guides.
